SkyPearl is developing a High Altitude Pseudo-Satellite (HAPS) platform that operates in the lower stratosphere, above weather and air traffic, to provide persistent wide-area surveillance, communications relay, and ISR capabilities. The platform supports significant payloads with over a year of endurance and station-keeping capability — filling the gap between low-endurance UAVs and expensive LEO satellites. SkyPearl’s technology addresses persistent overwatch requirements for defense customers and has been developed with aerospace expertise drawn from programs including Google Loon.
